Our Journey

It all began with a lifelong passion, for seafood yes, but also for our fishing communities and their heritage and provenance.

I’ve eaten seafood all my life, I know exactly what this industry means to those who work in it, (myself proudly included) and I despair at the gradual erosion of coastal communities that took generations to build, founded on fishing and feeding the nation.

Today, we are faced with a crisis of immense scale. Our food production and its security are more important than ever and we now turn to those producers for reassurance that supplies will continue to flow.

I have spent many years now studying and working within the fishing industry and have felt it is now time to act. To protect our resources, to build resilience, to foster prosperity and moreover to ensure that those last of the wild hunters - our inshore fishermen, survive.
